The handle is made of bamboo. The bristles are made of plastic and coated with charcoal.
Place your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the gums. Gently move the brush back and forth in short (tooth-wide) strokes. Brush the outer surfaces, the inner surfaces, and the chewing surfaces of the teeth for at least two minutes Rinse off Note: Change your brush every three months for best results.
The toothbrush handle is home compostable. Remove the bristles (which is plastic) and the rest of the body can be chopped and composted or can be disposed as dry waste.
700 million toothbrushes are sold in India every year, which means 700 million plastic handles that are not going to degrade, ever. Can you imagine years and years of such wastefulness? Wooden handles are biodegradable and hence reduce the burden on our planet. Also, plastic in the regular toothbrushes use fossil fuel - and hence our wooden toothbrushes have lower emission as well.
