  1. Bio-Enzymes

Bio enzymes are an all-purpose cleaner that can clean your -

  • Bathroom tiles,

  • Kitchen sink,

  • Floor,

  • Taps & steel appliances,

  • and any other messy surface

Along with helping you keep your home clean, they also promote a zero-waste lifestyle. They encourage sustainable living and are safe for the planet as well. Along with being affordable they also clean the surfaces efficiently. So, without any delay let’s quickly jump to the procedure of making Bio Enzymes.

How to prepare bio-enzymes?

  • The basic ingredients required are citrus peels, jaggery & water. You can also use other fruit and vegetable peels. However, it is advisable to use citrus peels for a better impact.

  • Take an airtight container and mark the date of preparation.

  • In the container, add water, citrus peels & jaggery in the proportion of 10:3:1. Place the closed container in a dark spot where it is not disturbed.

  • Leave some space in the container so that the process can take place properly. Do not fill it to the highest possible quantity.

  • Open the lid once daily and stir it. This will allow the gases to release and help in the process. Do not leave the container open for too long.

  • After a period of 7-10 days, you can stir it once every 2-3 days.

  • If you see a white foam forming on the top, it’s perfectly fine. The natural cleaner is forming and the yeast is doing its job.

  • After a period of 90 days, you can strain the liquid and store it in dry bottles.

  • With the leftover peels, you can start another batch of bio-enzymes. This will only take one month to form the cleaner.

As you open the container during the period of 90 days, you will experience some kind of acidic smell in the container. This happens due to the fermentation process and it’s perfectly normal.
